High Performance Electronics In Development from LBL Scientific
Switching High Voltage rapidly requires incredibly high currents!
At the request of Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (not a relative of LBL Scientific!) and the United States Department of Energy, LBL Scientific and Anodyne Research are jointly developing a high-speed, high-power high-voltage switch.
The new product, available in mid 2012 will be produced in several formats. The first versions will be capable of switching up to 15 kV in less than 5 nsec and will be able to source or sink up to 300 A. Higher voltage and higher current versions will follow.

Geoff Weil
Geoff Weil is a talented designer with expertise in the area of rapid high voltage switching circuitry. He has designed such difficult projects as electrostatic discharge simulators with sub nanosecond timing and up to 30 kV amplitudes. This project plays directly into his experience and expertise and is sure to result in a high reliability, high performance family of products
